Asymmetrix Launches News Desk
Jordan Bintcliffe appointed to lead a dedicated news operation breaking M&A, fundraise and live deal stories across the Data & Analytics industry
LONDON, 6 October 2026 — Asymmetrix, the intelligence platform for the Data & Analytics industry, today announces the appointment of Jordan Bintcliffe to lead the Asymmetrix News Desk. The desk will break news on M&A, fundraises and live deal processes involving Data & Analytics companies worldwide.
The appointment formalises a news operation that has already broken a series of exclusive stories since August 2026. It also signals Asymmetrix's commitment to becoming the first place dealmakers, investors and operators look for market-moving information on the Data & Analytics sector.
The Asymmetrix News Desk
The News Desk exists to report Data & Analytics deals before they are announced. Its focus is sell-side mandates, live auctions, fundraises, recapitalisations, valuation expectations and the advisers and bidders behind them.
The desk complements Asymmetrix's existing database of Data & Analytics companies, investors, advisers and corporate events, and its published research reports. News stories are linked to the companies, sectors and transactions they cover, so subscribers can move straight from a scoop to the underlying data.
Since August 2026, the desk has broken exclusive stories on agreed acquisitions, stalled and relaunched auctions, sell-side adviser pitches and mandates, private credit recapitalisations, and early-stage fundraises. Coverage to date spans Data & Analytics sub-sectors including Data Centres and Digital Infrastructure, Energy & Commodities, Maritime, Wealth Management and Regulatory Technology. Under Jordan Bintcliffe's leadership the desk will broaden that coverage and increase its publishing frequency.
“Data & Analytics is one of the most active corners of the M&A market, but it has never had a dedicated news service. Jordan brings exactly the sourcing instincts and deal knowledge we need to change that. The news desk means our clients will be privy to exclusive and proprietary news on deals in or coming to market.”
“The Data & Analytics industry is full of stories that never make it into the mainstream financial press. I want the Asymmetrix News Desk to be where those stories are told first – and told accurately. I'm keen to hear from anyone who is also active in or following the market.”
